I suspect they have found a home. One of the memorial programs I watched yesterday showed workmen gently loading sections of memorial fences into a van that would take them to storage for eventual display in the 9-11 museum. They interviewed several of the people from the Historical Society who talked about how these things were preserved, and how they had to force themselves to get involved in the recovery of artifacts from the material moved to the Fish Kill site. The PBS program was called "Objects and Memory" I believe. Very touching.
